Yoga Anatomy
Intro
This foundational yet comprehensive course explores the anatomy of yoga in a way that is relevant, practical and accessible – and have fun! It has been designed for those with limited or no anatomical knowledge, to create a safe and injury-free practice, or yoga teachers who wish to deeply ground their teaching with the understanding of muscles and bodily systems.
Graduate of this course will receive a certificate of completion and is eligible to register 30 continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance.

Course Overview
This unique course gives essential insight into the human body yet it will not overload and confuse you with unnecessary scientific names. Led by an experienced teacher who is also a certified physiotherapist, it provides a blend of theoretical, practical and application learning.
This program is suitable for practitioners who would like to deeply ground their practice with the understanding of muscles and bodily system, or yoga teachers who wish to create safe movement and adjustment for the class.

In this 7-week intensive, you will learn:
- Major bones, joints and muscles in relation to poses
- Assessing individual anatomy and physical limitations in relation to poses
- Poses to improve the strength and flexibility of muscles
- Impact of yoga practice onto nervous system, digestive system, cardiovascular and respiratory system
- Safe movement as it pertains to balancing, stretching, awareness and physical limitations
- Contraindications, misalignment and adaptations
